Who is responsible

András Bércesi-Hales, an English teacher based in London, is responsible for the personal data described here. Write to andras@bercesi.com about anything on this page.

When you send a message

The contact form sends your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message to my inbox. It is delivered by Web3Forms, a form service, which passes it on by email. I use it only to reply to you and to arrange lessons if we go ahead.

It is not added to a mailing list and not shared with anyone else. If you would like a message deleted, ask and it will be.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you accept cookies in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics, run by Google. It records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country and city, not an address), the kind of device and browser, and how people arrived at the site. It is used only to understand which pages are useful.

If you reject cookies or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and nothing is recorded.

Google may process this data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.

Things that happen on every visit

The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, receives your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

The typeface is served from this site’s own domain, so no font provider is contacted.

A single entry in your browser’s local storage remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again. It never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to andras@bercesi.com.

If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or, in Hungary, to the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH).
